We develop and invest in emerging technology companies in the renewable & thermal energy space.

 As part of our development process, we use industry engineering platforms that rely on optimization software to design renewable energy systems for urban and rural applications.  When required, we modify and upgrade industry systems to allow proprietary designs to be implemented. 

​Our near-term development focus is to assess feasibility for hybrid solar, energy storage, thermal and microgrid facilities on targeted land in several states.

Sample Projects

Texas

We are currently developing energy storage projects near our affiliated gas distribution system in central Texas.  These projects will participate in the ERCOT wholesale and retail market.

New Jersey​
We partnered with Aries Energy of Franklin, TN to acquire land in Linden, NJ to build the largest operating biosolids processing facility in the US.  The plant is designed to process 400 tons/day at a cost of over $150 MM.  Following on this success, we partnered with CS Energy of Edison, NJ to develop the first landfill to community storage (LTCS) project approved by the NJ BPU in Linden, NJ.  Based on this success, we partnered with CSE on several other LTCS projects in Berkley and Somerville.  To date, our LTCS  portfolio of operating facilities exceeds 15 MWs and over $50 MM of invested capital. Our NJ LTCS development pipeline exceeds 50 MWs. 

New York
​We are developing a portfolio of over 100 MWs of VDER based energy storage projects across NY state. 

These sites will participate in the wholesale and retail energy market as approved by NYSERDA.  The portfolio builds on the success of the first VDER project to be approved for interconnection to the PSEG Long Island system in 2021.
